VENICE BIENNALE 2017
In August 2017, I was lucky enough to embark on an art pilgrimage with my mother to the 57th Venice Biennale. Having been a gallery owner for 20 years, she has always been my inspiration, introducing me to the art world when I was a child.
We immersed ourselves in a month-long art extravaganza, renting an apartment on the canale to fully experience the local Venice vibe. Our minds were blown by the incredible exhibits, with standout moments that still resonate today. I was particularly captivated by Tracey Moffat’s My Horizon at The Australian Pavilion and Damien Hurst’s extraordinary shipwreck fantasy, Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable.
This unforgettable trip will remain a source of inspiration and connection for us both, forever.
