Advertising/Copywriting

In Melbourne in the late 90s The Campaign Palace was the ‘IT’ agency. Long lunches at The Botanical in South Yarra and long hours at the agency. Creatively, it was a man’s world. I finished Advertising Awards School in 1996 and was offered a one year internship at ‘The Palace’ after I wrote the award-winning line for ANZ Bank: “If you find the house, we’ll come to the party.” It won all the awards that year but ‘they’ took the credit. It didn’t look good to their client that an intern with no experience came up with a campaign that literally changed the way banks connected with their customers. This was the beginning of  ‘lifestyle’ advertising, when banks started to talk to their customer’s on a more human, relatable level. Anyone who knows me, could hear that expression coming straight out of my mouth.

Anyway, soon after I left ‘The Palace’. This was the catalyst to do things my way, be my own boss, I never looked back.  Since then, I have had 15 years experience as a local and global copywriter and magazine editor on several design publications. Each new project fuelled my curiosity and ignited my inspiration, leading to unique and creative results for my clients.
